What To Expect
Make your way to the dock in the heart of George Town, where you'll board the Seaworld Observatory. Take your seat next to one of the many windows for a clear view of the underwater world. Visit the Cali, a steel schooner dating from 1900, which ran aground in 1944 just 100 yards (90 meters) off the coast of Grand Cayman. Continue on to Cheeseburger Reef, where a diver will jump off the ship and into the water to feed the fish. Watch out your window as the schools of friendly tropical fish swarm the diver. Get your cameras ready for some up-close shots of the Cayman Islands' wide variety of marine life. The Seaworld Observer will travel to the site of the Balboa, a freighter that shipwrecked in 1932. This 375-foot (115-meter) boat was broken into pieces on the ocean floor by the force of the waves during one of the worst hurricanes in the island's history. Parts of George Town were rebuilt after the storm using wood salvaged from the wreck. After an hour of viewing Grand Cayman's seascape, return to the dock in George Town and disembark.
