Situated in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, HMS Victory is the Royal Navy's most famous warship. Best known for her role in the Battle of Trafalgar, Victory currently has a dual role as the Flagship of the First Sea Lord and as a living museum to the Georgian Navy. She's a proud memorial to Vice Admiral Lord Horatio Nelson, Britain's greatest naval hero and his victory at the Battle Of Trafalgar in 1805. For the first time since 1928, the world's most celebrated warship, HMS Victory has undergone her biggest change. A major reinterpretation of her visitor route through the ship enables visitors to follow in the footsteps of Nelson, its most famous Admiral. In the highly unlikely event that access to HMS Victory is not available on the day of your visit, you will be given the opportunity to visit one of the other historic ships in the dockyard.
