Boiling Lake
The volcanic hot springs of Boiling Lake lie at the end of a 7-mile (11 km) hiking trail in World Heritage Site Morne Trois Pitons National Park. The hot springs here are the second largest in the world.
You need to hire an official guide to do the day-long hike to Boiling Lake, which takes you up and down the park’s forested highlands. It’s a demanding and physically challenging trek, but one that’s well worth it – as much for the destination as the rewarding views along the way. The trail is well-maintained and one of the best ways to experience the Caribbean’s rainforest, with plenty of tropical birds and other rare species to be spotted. The walk also leads through a volcanic area with a stream passing through it known as the Valley of Desolation, where the air becomes steamy and moist and is filled with sulphuric vapours and gases.
Formed from a flooded volcanic fumarole, the crater is filled with grey-blue water shrouded in mist. Look past the whirling mass of steam and you’ll see the lake’s bubbling water surrounded by steep cliffs. This huge bubbling hot springs lake sees temperatures reach almost 200 degrees Fahrenheit, and is most often seen with a cloud of vapour rising dramatically from it.
The best time of year to do the hike is in the drier season from March to May.

Bond Street
The most exclusive shopping street in London, Bond Street is where you’ll find flagship stores for brands like Burberry and Bvlgari, Dior and Louis Vuitton. Bombay High Court

Bongeunsa Temple
Situated in Seoul’s stylish Gangnam district, Bongeunsa Temple was founded in 794. Though it has been rebuilt many times, the temple remains an important center of Seon (Zen) Buddhism in South Korea. Borovets Ski Resort
One of Bulgaria’s premier ski resorts, Borovets was purpose-built in the 1980s, although it has its origins way back in the 19th century when a hunting palace was built there for the Bulgarian Royal Family. Today it is a low-rise, largely wooden Alpine-style resort with all modern amenities; it sprawls over the northern flanks of the Musala ridge in the Rila Mountains at an altitude of 1,300 meters (4,265 feet), with the highest runs up at 2,600 meters (8,530 feet).
The ski season lasts from December through to early April and the resort has 24 runs stretching over 58 km (36.25 miles) of marked pistes, ranging from easy blues to extremely challenging black runs, many through scenic pine forest. Ski lifts are modern and efficient, with a mix of gondolas, chair and drag lifts; night skiing is available daily until 10pm. Borghese Gallery
Rome’s Borghese Gallery and Museum (Galleria Borghese), housed in a former villa of the eponymous family, houses a large part of the family’s vast collection of antiquities, paintings, and sculptures. Bonerowski Palace
The Bonerowski Palace is a luxury hotel in the heart of Krakow’s Old Town. Dating back to the 13th century, it was then significantly renovated in the 19th century, at which time the entire building was raised up to three floors and a new staircase was added.

Borusan Contemporary
The aim of Borusan Contemporary in Istanbul is to introduce the Borusan Contemporary Art Collection to a wider audience, and to generate interest in modern art within Turkey overall. Bosphorus Bridge
The Bosphorus Bridge in Istanbul is one of three continent-spanning bridges over the Bosphorus Strait, connecting Europe and Asia. When it opened in 1973, the 5,118-foot (1,560-meter) bridge was the fourth-longest suspension bridge in the world. And though it has since slid down the rankings, it is still an impressive sight to behold.
The Basics
The Bosphorus Bridge, officially known as 15 July Martyrs’ Bridge, is only open to vehicles. The bridge can be seen from Ortaköy Mosque on Istanbul’s European side and from Beylerbeyi Palace, an imperial Ottoman summer retreat, on its Asian side.
The best way for visitors to view the bridge is to take a Bosphorus cruise. Many cruises begin at the Golden Horn, from which you can see the minarets of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia before venturing into the Bosphorus Strait, cruising past Dolmabahçe Palace and under the bridge. Some cruises include lunch or dinner on board.

If you want to cross the bridge on foot, sign up for the Istanbul Marathon—Turkey’s biggest marathon—which usually takes place in November. The marathon route crosses over the bridge, and this is the only time pedestrians are allowed.

Bois Cheri Plantation
Some countries have wine or whisky routes – Mauritius has a tea route. And the island's biggest tea producer – the Bois Cheri Plantation – is a stop on that route.
The Bois Cheri Tea Plantation got its start on Mauritius in 1892, and today is the largest producer of tea on the island. The plantation covers 250 hectares, and includes the factory where the tea is made and a museum for visitors to explore the science and art of tea.

Bomas of Kenya
Bomas of Kenya is a cultural center situated around 10 kilometers from Nairobi city, right near the main entrance to Nairobi National Park. Through art, crafts, music, dance, and architecture, it serves to preserve Kenyan culture, with artists performing traditional dances and songs from the country's major ethnic groups.
The center features replicas of traditional villages, which were built according to the same principles and techniques used by local tribes. Bosingak Belfry
The Bosingak Belfry refers to an ornate pavilion in central Seoul that houses a bell with a history that dates all the way back to the 14th century. Located opposite the modern Jongno Tower, the original bell was constructed in 1396 and used during the Joseon Dynasty to keep time and act as an alarm to alert people of fires and other emergencies.
Back then, the bell rang out 33 times (for the 33 Buddhist heavens) every morning at 4am, and the gates to the city were opened for the day. Each night at 10pm, they rang out 28 times (representing the location of the stars of constellations), to signal the closure of the gates and the start of the nightly curfew.
The original bell melted in a fire and was replaced in 1468. For preservation purposes, this bell now sits in the gardens of the National Museum of Korea, and the current bell you can see today is a replacement made with contributions from the public that was mounted in the same spot in 1985.
In a ceremony that starts at 11am, the guardsmen who patrol the tower ring the bell 12 times at noon from Tuesday through Sunday. A small-group walking tour is a great way to visit Bosingak Belfry, allowing you to take in other attractions in Seoul, such as Gyeonghuigung Palace, Daehamun, Cheonggyecheon Plaza, and the various landmarks of Jongno.
Insider’s Tip: If you happen to be in Seoul over New Year’s Eve, head down to the Bosingak Belfry, where a huge event is organized and the bell is rung 33 times at midnight.

Bombay Panjrapole
Bombay Panjrapole is easy to miss among the bustling bazaars and crowded lanes of the Bhuleshwar neighborhood, but once you find it, the shelter's bright blue exterior is unforgettable—as are the sprawling two acres that house about 300 cows and an array of various other animals, including donkeys, hens, birds, dogs, goats, and even ducks and parrots.
Dating back to the 1830s, the shelters takes in the stray and unwanted animals of Mumbai. The site was first established as a response to a British decree that all dogs and pigs on the streets of Bombay should be killed, and although it's thought that cows were only brought in later to provide milk, they have become the main attraction, outnumbering all of the other animals.
A charitable trust and non-profit institution, Bombay Panjrapole allows visitors to wander the shelter, pet the cows, and, for a small donation, feed them some greens. The site is a strangely peaceful and spacious haven in the center of the crowded streets of Bhuleshwar.

Borobudur is located in the Kedu Plain on the Indonesian island of Java. It is accessible via bus from the Jombor terminal in Yogyakarta. Buses also run regularly from Magelang and take about one hour. Door-to-door minibuses are also available.

Bolaven Plateau

This higher altitude region of Southern Laos has long been used as a center of agriculture, starting with midland hill tribes who practiced rotational farming on the plateau. During the early twentieth century, French colonists began cultivating coffee, tea, fruit and cardamom in the area.

How to Get There
Borough Market is located in London Bridge on the south side of the River Thames and just a short stroll from the bridge itself and The Shard. The easiest way to get there is on the Tube, and the closest station is London Bridge on the Northern and Jubilee lines. Driving is not recommended as the market is in the congestion-charge zone and there’s no on-site parking.
When to Get There
Borough Market is open from Wednesday to Saturday, with a smaller market held on Mondays and Tuesdays. To avoid crowds, arrive early on a Saturday morning or come on a weekday afternoon. However, for the freshest produce and best choice, aim to get there before the lunchtime rush, when sandwiches, baked goods, and made-to-order products might sell out.

Boldt Castle
Built in the early 20th century in the middle of Heart Island, Boldt Castle is one of the main tourist attractions of the Thousand Islands in the Saint Lawrence River.
George Boldt began building the 120-room castle in 1900 for his wife, and when she died four years later all work on the building stopped. It was left empty and open to the elements for more than 70 years. The castle was purchased in 1977 and has been restored as a local attraction. The first floor of the castle is meant to show how the Boldt family would have decorated it, had they ever moved in.
The castle itself sits in the middle of Heart Island, but there are other buildings that make up the estate – including a castle-like “power house” with a small stone bridge and a tower building at the water's edge that was originally designed to be an entertainment area for guests.
Practical Info
Visitors get to Heart Island by boat (if you own a boat, you can dock there for free) from either the U.S. or Canada, and some of the grounds and buildings are open to the public. Entry to these areas is $8.50 for adults and $6 for children ages 6-12. The castle is open for self-guided tours from mid-May through mid-October; the open hours vary by month, but it's typically open between 10-11am and closes between 5-7:30pm.

Bonham Strand
Bonham Strand is located in Sheung Wan on Hong Kong Island. The street ends at Des Voeux Road West, which is where Bonham Strand West Road begins. The streets were named after Sir George Bonham, the third Governor of Hong Kong in the mid-19th century.
This nostalgic market area is known for its old-fashioned shops, and is the place to head for traditional Chinese medicines and herbal remedies. There are also a whole host of other shops selling a range of food items, and it’s a particularly good place to buy dried seafood.
There are also a number of tailors in the area for those looking for custom-made clothing during their trip, and it’s just a short walk from Bonham Strand to the historic Man Mo Temple on Hollywood Road.
