What To Expect

This 2-day tour package is perfect if you're looking to explore the city and pay a visit to Alcatraz. On both days, your group takes off from San Francisco. On the first day, go to Pier 33, which is where the ferry will depart and take you to Alcatraz Island. Depending on what time you chose (9:30am, 10am, 11am, 11:30am, 12:30pm, and 1:05pm), your ferry will depart either in the morning or afternoon.Once you arrive on the island, get set up with the self-guided audio tour equipment. Make your way through the prison while listening to stories of infamous inmates such as Al 'Scarface' Capone and 'Birdman' Robert Stroud. Take a peek into cells, and gain a better understanding about what life was like as an inmate here. You can spend as much time as you like at Alcatraz, but just be sure to get to the ferry for the last ride back. On the second day of this package, enjoy a guided bike tour. You get to choose from three different tours, including the Streets of San Francisco, the Waterfront and Golden Gate Bridge, or the Evening Waterfront and Golden Gate Bridge. No matter which you choose, follow your guide (on a bike) from Fisherman's Wharf around popular areas and lesser-known spots. Tour times vary by choice, but will be between three and four hours long.ItineraryEvening Waterfront and Golden Gate Bridge bike tour (3 hours)This ride starts along the same route as Option 2, but in the evening hours. You'll see the city in its best light as you cycle on the ocean side of the Golden Gate Bridge, catching the shimmering (or fog-wrapped) San Francisco skyline before sunset. Pause for photos at Vista Point at the north end of the bridge before biking back into the city to see the Palace of Fine Arts, built in 1915 for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition. Stop by the San Francisco National Cemetery and other Presidio landmarks, and listen to your guide share stories about Bay Area history. Your tour ends back at Fisherman's Wharf.
