After hotel pickup in Yangon, your tour starts with the drive to Bago, stopping on the way at the Htaukkyant War Monastery. Continue to Bago, where your guide takes you to attractions including Kyakhat Wine Monastery and the Reclining Buddha statue at Shwe Tha Lyaung in western Bago. See Hinthagon Pagoda, built in 1924; Sein Tha Lyaung with its Reclining Buddha; and Kyaikpun Pagoda, built by King Dhammaceti in 1475. Next, visit a restaurant for lunch before continuing your tour to Shwemawdaw Pagoda, one of the most revered temples in Myanmar. Then check out the excavation and restoration work of a former palace known as Kanbawzathadi, where you can also see Hanthawaddy Archaeological Museum.
