Paddle a kayak to Aquafari Culebra during this 10-hour excursion from Fajardo. Journey from Fajardo to Culebra via local ferry, then get outfitted with your kayaking gear and launch from the unspoiled Tamarindo Beach. Kayak into the Luis Pena Marine Reserve to snorkel and swim around the coral reefs and the sea grass beds frequented by turtles. Soak up the sun at Flamenco Beach, where you can purchase lunch before heading back to Fajardo. Light snacks and all snorkeling and kayaking equipment are included.

What To Expect

Make your way to the Fajardo Ferry Dock to begin your day's kayaking adventure. Check in with the host, who will orient you to the day's details. Be sure to bring a swimsuit, towel and sun protection; it is recommended to eat a hearty breakfast to fuel you up for the day's activities ahead.Board the ferry for the ride to Culebra, relax and enjoy the tropical scenery on the way. You'll be met by a guide as you disembark, then check in at the adventure center and munch some provided snacks as you complete some paperwork. Restrooms and changing areas are available onsite. Transfer to Tamarindo Beach, on the west coast of Culebra, where you'll launch your kayaks and explore for the next three hours. Paddle through the calm, warm waters of the Luis Pena Marine Reserve for about 30 minutes before slipping on your snorkel gear and diving in. In the company of your guide, see impressive coral formations and schools of tropical fish before heading to shore for some snacks and refreshments. Rest a bit while your guide fills you in on the history and ecosystem of Culebra, then head back into the water to explore the sea grass beds frequented by stingrays, green and hawksbill turtles. Continue to Flamenco Beach, where you can purchase food for lunch and relax in the sun. Your guide will pick you up in the Flamenco Beach parking lot for the trip back to the Culebra Ferry Terminal, after which you will travel back to Fajardo.ItineraryExcursion Itinerary:8:00am Check in at Fajardo Ferry Dock: Bienvenidos! Note: Be sure to eat a hearty breakfast prior to departing Fajardo so you will be fueled for the day.9:00am Ferry Departs Fajardo10:15am Ferry Arrives to Culebra: You made it! Meet your KPR guide outside of the ferry gates. He/she will be wearing a red KPR shirt and have a sign that reads "Kayaking Puerto Rico".10:30am Check in at KPR Adventure Center: Here we will sign the waivers and enjoy a few snacks before starting the excursion. You will also have the opportunity to use the restroom and changing room if needed.10:50am Depart to Tamarindo Beach11:00amÃ‚Â to 2:00pm Aquafari Culebra Kayaking and Snorkeling Excursion: Start off this magnificent journey at unspoiled Tamarindo Beach located on the west coast of Culebra. Following complete pre-ride instructions, join your guides as you paddle over the calm, turtle frequented waters of the Luis Pena Marine Reserve. Along the way, enjoy the breathtaking views of Culebra's deserted cays, and the vast marine fauna. Concluding the 30-minute paddle across the Marine Reserve, get ready to explore the underwater world as you jump out of your kayaks to discover some of the most amazing marine life in the Caribbean! Join your eco guides as you swim among schools of colorful tropical fish and vibrant coral formations! Following the fully guided snorkeling your guides will lead the group back to shore complimented by light snacks and cold refreshments. Next up, the group will head out to the sea grass beds to have the chance to snorkel with turtles!
