Come with us to Berlin's second highest elevation - the 120m high Teufelsberg.Between Heerstrasse and Teufelssee Adolf Hitler laid the cornerstone for a building that should have lasted for the next thousand years on November 27th, 1937 - the "Faculty of Defense Engineering", a department of the Technical University of Berlin. The remaining buildings were filled with rubble after World War II had ended. The US Army discovered the mountain in the 1950s as an excellent location for a listening post - Field Station Berlin.
