What To Expect
Begin with pickup at your Jackson Hole or Teton Village-area hotel, then travel into Grand Teton National Park in a van that accommodates up to 12 people. Hear the frontier history behind the 'Shane' cabins, an old fashioned homestead with a rugged mountain backdrop, and a film site for the classic western movie 'Shane.' Your guide will share colorful stories and facts throughout the tour, providing fascinating context as you soak up Grand Teton National Park scenery.Try to spot bison and antelope as you cross Antelope Flats, where grassland rolls straight to the base of the high mountains; this is the perfect place to capture classic shots of the the peaks at their most dramatic. Continue to Signal Mountain Lodge, where you can dine inside or on the scenic deck, which looks out towards a Jackson Lake sunset. Order from a full dining menu, and relax with early evening views. Make the return trip via Moose-Wilson Road, a scenic drive that's known for a thriving moose population. Use binoculars and spotting scope along the way to watch for wildlife through the van's panoramic viewing windows, then exit the park as the first stars appear above the Grand Tetons. This tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.
