The Hunt Museum is a true cabinet of curiosities. It houses three collections: the Hunt Collection of John and Gertrude Hunt, containing artefacts from across the centuries and across the world; the Sybil Connolly fashion archive and a Contemporary Ceramics Collections. Highlights of the Collection range from paintings by Picasso and Gauguin to Sean Keating, Jack Yeats and Roderic O'Connor to a replica of the Ardagh Chalice or a Viking neck ring alongside an Egyptian Horus and Mexican Olmec Man. A variety of temporary exhibitions are held throughout the year. Currently we have a ceramics exhibition "Blurring the Edge" by some well known Irish Ceramicists. There are regular handling sessions as well as programmes for participation in digitisation, lectures, live music, workshops and events at the museum. Docents are available for expert tours for both groups and individuals, incorporated in the ticket price.
