What To Expect
Bring your map to the Grand Bazaar; you'll need it to find the hidden inn where your 3-hour jewelry making workshop takes place. Arrive at the atelier to meet your host and teacher, an master craftsman who has been making jewelry by hand for almost a quarter century. Sit down with a glass of Turkish tea and get to know him, as well as your fellow students. Your class is limited to just 4 people, ensuring personal attention and lots of time to ask questions. Get an orientation to the tools, objects and materials you will be using during your class. Choose from 4 different types of rings that are relatively simple to make under your teacher's supervision. He'll start up the music and you'll get started on your one-of-a-kind piece. At the end of the 3-hour workshop, walk away with a very special souvenir: your own custom-made ring that you fashioned under the tutelage of a Turkish master craftsman.
