Following an afternoon break for tea (own expense) in the rural community of Omarama, re-board the coach for the ascent over Lindis Pass, which delivers you into Central Otago, a region famous for its gold-mining history.Upon reaching the countryside town of Tarras, you're transferred to a shuttle for the final stretch to Wanaka, nestled on the southern shores of Lake Wanaka.
