What To Expect
When your cruise docks in port, disembark around 10 a.m. to meet your private drive, who will be bearing a sign with your name. Transfer to the pier, from where the cruise on the River Neva departs. Cruise along the river for about two hours, crossing canals and passing under many of St. Petersburg's famous bridges. Listen to the audio guide while passing some of the city's most well-known sights. Free umbrellas (in case of rain) and WiFi on board. Return to the pier, where you will meet your art historian guide for a visit to the Hermitage State Museum. Explore the museum and learn about its history and architecture, including the new Faberge Halls. Midway through the 4 hour tour, take a coffee break at the Hermitage cave (own expense).Travel to a traditional Russian restaurant for a 3-course meal, including one shot of local vodka. Then head for the ballet to see a classical performance by the Mariinsky, or Mikhailovsky, or Alexandrinsky or Hermitage Ballet theatre. After the 2-hour performance, you will be returned ton time to catch your departing ship.
