What To Expect
Your guide picks you up at your Cappadocia hotel or the arrivals lounge at either the Kayseri or Kapadokya Airport. Travel in a climate-controlled private vehicle to your first destination, the Esentepe Panoramic view point. Take in the otherworldly landscape of Cappadocia as your guide shares informative stories about the region's history and geology. Next up, tour the underground city of Kaymakli to see the tunnels and rooms where people have lived at different times throughout the centuries. Then go to the highest point in Cappadocia, Uchisar Castle, where you can see cave and pigeon houses carved into the rock. Pass through Pigeon Valley on your way to the World Heritage-listed Goreme Open-Air Museum, which has caves that contain ancient Christian churches decorated with frescoes.Head to the pottery village of Avanos and stop for an authentic lunch at a restaurant located inside of a cave. Afterward, learn about traditional pottery at a family-run workshop. View a number of spectacular fairy chimneys and the 3-headed Pinnacles as you visit Pashabagi (Monk's Valley), Devrent Valley, and Imagination Valley. Have the option to stop at a local wine factory to sample their wine before your tour ends with return to your hotel.
