What To Expect
Quetico Provincial Park is a world-famous destination for backcountry canoeing, with over 2,000 lakes and 460,000 hectares of remote wilderness. Explore the park and enjoy the freedom of building any canoe rental package on this fully outfitted voyage of almost any length desired - a day trip, a weekend getaway, even a week or multiple weeks. Arrive at Canadian Quetico Outfitters the day before departure, if desired, and get into the spirit of the upcoming journey. Enjoy northern hospitality along with camping and barbecue facilities on location. Receive a personal outfitting for a canoe, life jacket, and paddle. The local tour guide will offer consultation on the route with a detailed map and answer any questions about the trip before providing a shuttle ride to one of the launch locations: Pickerel Lake, Nym Lake, Stanton Bay, Lerome/Sue Falls, or Beaverhouse Lake. After a final equipment check - everything that's needed is included - it's time to begin. There are many options to consider - maybe it's just a day trip to 'the Pines,' which features sandy beaches and pleasant breezes, or a weekend paddle to a secluded bay. Also, consider a multi-day trip to Chatterton Falls, part of the 'Poet Chain' in the central area of the park, or a multi-week trip across the entire region. There are many possibilities. As the journey comes to an end, a driver will be waiting at the prearranged time and location for a return trip to Canadian Quetico Outfitters.
