What To Expect
Get an early start on the day with 5am pickup at your centrally-located Panama City hotel, make the hilly trip to the Caribbean side of Panama in a 4WD vehicle. Upon arrival at the coast, transfer to a boat to Isla Perro Chico, an isolated island with white sand beaches and a sunken ship just off the coast. You'll have plenty of free time to enjoy the sunshine on Isla Perro Chico, where you can swim, snorkel, or arrange to scuba dive. Pause for a picnic lunch on Isla Perro Chico, then board a boat for a tour of the archipelago's other islands. The San Blas Archipelago is the traditional home of the Guna Yala people, who fish in small sailboats and create elaborate bead and needlework crafts - exploring the San Blas is a unique glimpse of Central America's only autonomous indigenous zone, and a paradise-island landscape that's day trip distance away from downtown Panama City. At the end of your boat trip through the islands, return to shore for the trip back to Panama City, where this tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.
