What To Expect
Meet your guide and small group in Piazza del Risorgimento, then proceed directly into the Vatican museums with skip-the-line access. The tour group is limited to 15 people to ensure personalized attention from your guide, the chance to ask questions, and an intimate experience. See Apollo Belvedere and Laocoön and Sons in the Belvedere Courtyard and stroll through the Raphael Rooms. Explore the Gallery of Tapestries, the Gallery of the Maps, the Gallery of the Candelabra, and the Pinecone Courtyard. Pause outside the Sistine Chapel so your guide can explain the history behind the iconic ceiling frescoes, then proceed inside to view one of the world's most famous artworks for about 20 minutes. Upon exiting the Sistine Chapel, choose to double back through the Vatican Museums to see more of the collection; or your guide through a special door directly into St. Peter's Basilica for an independent visit.
Additional Info
Confirmation will be received at time of booking
As with all museums, particular galleries of the Vatican museums can sometimes be closed without prior notice and pieces removed for restoration or loan. In the case of a gallery being closed, your guide will take you to another section of the museums instead.
On rare occasions, when St. Peter's Basilica is being prepared for high masses or a special private event, including the Easter ceremonies, the tour group exit and
or the basilica itself can be closed without prior notification. Your guide will still give you an introduction to the church should you wish to visit this on your own at a later occasion.Â
