What To Expect
Meet a guide at the Tokyo sumo stable, or at a nearby train station - the exact meeting time reflects the schedule at the sumo stable, and ranges from 7:30am to 9am. Sit on the wooden floor for an up-close view of the sumo wrestlers as they practice sumo techniques. With an expert guide to explain the rules and history of sumo throughout the session, you'll understand just what you're seeing. Take advantage of this time with a guide to ask any questions about sumo culture and practice, which is thought to have roots in Japan's samurai tradition. If time allows, you may request a photo with a sumo wrestler after the 1.5- to 2.5-hour long practice session. Following the sumo practice session, you can head to the nearby Tokyo Skytree observation tower, where you may redeem your e-ticket for admission to the observatory. As you'll receive the e-ticket as soon as booking is confirmed, with the option to visit the Tokyo Skytree on your own schedule.

Watching sumo practice requires sitting on the floor for approx. 90-150 minutes. It is not recommended to leave the room in the middle of the practice as it may distract wrestlers
Exact departure time and location can only be emailed to you approx. one week prior to your travel date as it depends on the schedule of sumo stable and tournaments
After your booking is confirmed, an e-ticket for the Tokyo Skytree admission will be emailed to you from the local tour operator
Cancellation caused by lack of checking the information will be treated as a no show and 100% cancellation fee occurs
