What To Expect
Make your own way to the Sydney Observatory to enjoy the shows in the Planetarium or Space Theatre. All sessions last approximately 30 minutes with tours led by qualified astronomers who can answer any questions about space. Go inside one of the telescope domes to view the city and stars, or head to the theater to catch a short movie about astronomy and outer space. Depending on the day's weather conditions, you may be able to safely observe the sun through solar telescopes and watch for any sunspots and flares.
