What To Expect
Enjoy this 'best-of' food tour of Seattle's famous Pike Place Market, exploring the back alleys, narrow corridors and tiny storefronts of this mega-popular location. Created back in 1907 to connect the city's citizens and farmers, Pike Place Market is a beloved Seattle landmark, welcoming more than 10 million visitors each year. Today, the Market remains Emerald City's home for farm-fresh, locally sourced, artisanal and specialty foods. It's a place to meet the farmers, butchers, bakers, winemakers and all those who bring their bounty to this 9-acre table day in and day out. Taste the authentic flavors of India with saffron spice, a classic street-food staple. Enjoy fresh biscuits - made with local ingredients and sustainable farming practices - plus real Italian gelato. Stop at Ellenos Real Greek Yogurt (made from locally sourced ingredients), Las Agaves for authentic Mexican street tacos and the Pure Fish Food Market for the best smoked salmon in the world. There's also Pike Place chowder, voted the best in the country three times, plus 'to-die-for' truffles, hand-crafted Bavarian meats and Seattle super chef Tom Douglas's signature salmon burger. Feel like a market insider on this behind-the-scenes adventure to experience the sights, sounds, and flavors of this historic place.
