What To Expect
Spend a few hours - or the entire day - at The Strong Museum, a sprawling museum that fills 282,000 square feet (26,200 square mt) with a staggering collection of everything fun and playful. Follow the story of play in American history through interactive exhibits, or head straight to your own favorites: find comic book heroes and villains, enter the life-sized world of the Berenstain Bears then design your own racetrack and skyscrapers. Go hands-on in Sesame Street and explore the worlds of video games, Monopoly and America's most beloved toys. Skip down the Yellow Brick Road into five literary landscapes brought to life: Adventure Island, Mystery Mansion, Fairy Tale Forest, the Upside-Down Nonsense House and the Wizard's Workshop. Visit 800 free-flying North American and tropical butterflies in the Dancing Wings Butterfly Garden ($5 additional cost) and hop across a giant game board. This family-friendly place is the perfect way to introduce your kids to your own favorite games while exploring fun through history - and peering into the future.
