What To Expect
Find your way through Valencia's charming streets to the Mercado de Colón, located in the Exiample district. Have a look around the market, frequented by locals and contained in an unusual architectural structure, before stopping for a refreshing horchata - the most traditional summer drink of Valencia.Move on to Mercado Central, where you'll make your way down the chaotic aisles between stalls selling an overwhelming variety of items. Pause for a jamón tasting, and learn about the mysterious difference between jamón ib erico and serrano. Next, your group will squeeze into a tiny artisan chocolate shop to taste some Cubanitos, bombones and handmade truffles. Follow that up with a stop for a local olive oil tasting, washed down with Spanish wine. Finish up at one of the oldest restaurants in Rufaza, housed in a 200-year-old building, for some traditional tapas and wine.
