This tour takes a two mile walk through Greenwich Village, visiting sites where influential people lived and important events took place. For more than 150 years the bohemian life style and free thinking gave way to changes that have made a lasting impact on American society. This is where the Stonewall in Riots took place and launched the LBGT movement, Eugene O'Neil produced his innovative plays and won four Pulitzer Prizes and Bob Dylan's wrote lyrics that perfectly captured the moment of his generation. These are only a few of many interesting and wacked out stories of success, failure, deviance and defiance in the Village. This tour will help us gain a deeper understanding as to why Greenwich Village was so important to America. Â Â
