Discover the history of the Adirondack Mountains at The Wild Center, a 54,000-square-foot (5,000-square-meter) natural history museum with exhibits, trails, and its very own river and pond. The center hosts more than 900 live animals that are indigenous to the Adirondacks, including fish, porcupines, ravens and otters. And it's the only place in the world where you can see the award-winning documentary 'A Matter of Degrees,' narrated by Sigourney Weaver. General admission is valid for two consecutive days, and snowshoes are provided for exploring the 81-acre (33-hectare) campus during the winter months.
