Your first day takes in land-based highlights of Cairns, traveling out on the Kuranda Scenic Railway to the quaint town of Kuranda for the day. Admire cascading waterfalls, lush tropical rainforest and the charms of the township on your day out, before returning to Cairns on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Have the option to upgrade to include admission to Rainforestation Nature Park, situated just a few minutes from Kuranda. There, you can take a 45-minute rain forest tour on an amphibious vehicle, learn about Aboriginal culture during a dance performance and Dreamtime Walk, and get close to Australian wildlife including koalas.Explore the Great Barrier Reef on your second day, taking a 5-hour cruise out to two top sites on the reef for snorkeling, scuba diving and other water-based activities. Return to Cairns on a scenic helicopter flight that offers a stunning aerial perspective on the Great Barrier Reef.ItineraryDay 1: Kuranda Scenic Railway with optional Rainforestation TourEnjoy a scenic, historical train journey through the Barron Gorge to Kuranda, the village in the rainforest.
